Judge Lewis House Bed & Breakfast

On the western edge of Winterset in the heart of Madison County, Iowa, you’ll find one of Winterset’s most historic homes - the Judge Lewis House. Judge Lewis House is a simple home with exterior elements of Carpenter Gothic architectural style. It features many open spaces to wander and enjoy, or sit and relax, both inside and out. There are three separate rooms available. 

Winterset is the county seat of Madison County, home to the world renowned covered bridges made famous by “The Bridges of Madison County” novel and film. Our property is only a few minutes from each of these historic bridges. We are also just minutes away from the Madison County Historical Museum, The Iowa Quilt Museum and the John Wayne Birthplace & Museum.
